Job Description

The ideal candidate for this position should have the following qualifications and skills:

  • Capability to prepare patients for dental examinations to ensure proper care and comfort.
  • Expectation to order dental and office supplies to ensure proper management and availability of resources.
  • Capability to prepare dental instruments and filling materials to ensure proper management and accessibility of resources.
  • Responsibility to perform reception and clerical duties to ensure proper management and efficiency in the workplace.
  • Expectation to educate patients about oral hygiene to ensure proper care and maintenance of oral health.
  • Expectation to make and confirm appointments to ensure proper scheduling and management of resources.
  • Capability to perform intra-oral tasks to ensure proper care and treatment of dental issues.
  • Ability to take and develop X-rays to ensure proper diagnosis and treatment of dental issues.
  • Responsibility for billing patients for dental services to ensure proper management and accessibility of resources.
  • Capability to take preliminary impressions for diagnostic casts to ensure proper diagnosis and treatment of dental issues.
  • Capability to prepare plaster models and moulds to ensure proper diagnosis and treatment of dental issues.
  • Responsibility to maintain and order supplies to ensure proper management and availability of resources.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate for this position should have the following qualifications and skills:

  • Fluency in the English language to ensure proper communication and understanding.
  • Possession of a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a programme lasting one to two years, or equivalent experience to ensure proper education and skills.
  • At least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry to ensure proper knowledge and expertise.
  • Possession of Healing Arts Radiation Protection (HARP) Certification, registration with provincial or territorial authorities, and certification by the National Dental Assisting Examining Board to ensure proper safety and professionalism in the workplace.
